Abalona is a marine deity born from sand and salt, the goddess of the Pacific Ocean for Polynesians. Nestled in an iridescent abalone shell, she embodies the protection, rebirth, and gentleness of the depths.

This work is part of the Ocean Goddess collection, a series of illustrations inspired by marine myths, wild nature, and the deep connection between women and the ocean.

The original illustration was hand-drawn with charcoal, India ink, and seawater watercolor, collected from the Plage des Blancs Sablons, in Le Conquet, Brittany. This blend of techniques gives birth to a poetic and vibrant image, where every burst of color seems to whisper a story.
