After studying applied arts, young Brest native Maximilie Hareng started creating charcoal drawings on nautical charts in April 2022. Her works were an immediate success.

And today, with experience, Maximilie Hareng is evolving her art while enriching it with new techniques that are dear to her.

During her visit to the Seren gallery on August 15th, she will interact with the public interested in her techniques. She will also present those she currently favors. I will talk about my work and my world, she announced. Like, for example, the Japanese technique of Suminagashi (floating ink, in English), a technique that is as artistic as it is decorative, which consists of creating marbled patterns with ink on paper.

I will also offer a demonstration of watercolor with seawater and watercolor with salt crystals adds Maximilie Hareng.

In a second phase, she could organize workshops at the Seren gallery, depending on the wishes of enthusiasts.

Galerie Seren. 2, rue du Kélenn. Carantec. Meeting and demonstrations with Maximilie Hareng on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
